We certainly haven’t missed out on Samsung Galaxy S23 leaks in recent weeks, and now high-res photos of the phone series – which appear to be official Samsung phone renders – have hit the web.
These photos come from a well-known tipster Evan Blass (opens in a new tab) (by SamMobile (opens in a new tab)) and mean we have a very good idea of what to expect when these devices are finally unveiled and properly shown to the world.
The official unveiling will take place on February 1, i.e. on Wednesday. The Unpacked event that Samsung is organizing will mainly be about the Galaxy S23 series, although Samsung can always surprise us with additional hardware.
Four colors
In this leak, we’ve got a full look at the Samsung Galaxy S23, Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus, and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, as well as four different colors to look at – these beige, black, green, and light pink shades have all been leaked.
Even for devices in an industry where devices are usually revealed ahead of time, there have been plenty of Samsung Galaxy S23 leaks. Now we know pretty much everything there is to know about these phones, including potential on-board memory upgrades.
We also expect a significant improvement in the camera capabilities of these phones, especially in the Ultra model. Of course, we will present all the official announcements and reveals that Samsung will publish on February 1.
Analysis: looks good
The photos of the Samsung Galaxy S23 that just leaked join other phone photos we’ve seen ahead of time – and there’s no major update here in terms of the aesthetics of these new 2023 phones.
You’ll notice that while the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus had a raised rear camera module, here the lenses are individually placed and protrude from the back of the earbuds, in keeping with the design of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Other than that, everything is as you’d expect: thin bezels around the display, a more curved look for the Ultra, and some new wallpapers to celebrate, showing the name of Samsung’s new flagship smartphone.
The main upgrades this year for the Galaxy S series will be inside the phones, and that suits us – the 2022 phones Samsung launched were perfectly fine aesthetically.
