Update: The leak has been confirmed as Amazon has just announced a Prime Early Access sale. As you can see here, the new Prime Day-themed 48-hour sales event will run from October 11-12, and will feature thousands of deals exclusive to Amazon Prime members. Looks like Black Friday starts early.
Over the past few months, we’ve heard a lot of rumors about a potential Amazon Prime Day rerun later this year. And now it looks like these rumors are at least partly true according to a new page on Amazon that relates to the Prime Early Access sale set to take place in October.
First noticed by What Hi-Fithe page in the question contains a list a number of regulations (opens in a new tab) related to the smart plug offer, which will only be available during the Prime Early Access sale. One of these conditions states that the purchase “must be made between 00:00 PT on October 11, 2022 and 23:59 PT on October 12, 2022”.
Based on this, we can reasonably assume that the Prime Early Access sale will take place on Amazon US between October 11-12.
This is related to the original rumors that first surfaced in June. At the time, the leak revealed that Amazon was asking its retail partners to submit select instant offers for an event called “Prime Fall.” This strongly suggested there was another Prime Day event in the cards with a selection of exclusive, time-limited savings for members.
Amazon has yet to announce any public announcements for the second Prime Day or Prime Early Access sales. It is also unknown whether he will organize a similar event in other regions at the same time. We asked Amazon for a comment and will share more news as soon as we hear something.
Is this really Amazon Prime Day 2?
Honestly, we don’t think this Prime Early Access sale will be as significant as the full Amazon Prime Day sale. It may have all the features of another two-day deal bonanza that’s exclusive to Amazon Prime members, but our gut feeling is that it will be a more reserved affair.
There is still a good chance that thousands of items will shrink during the 48-hour sale, including many sought-after products, top tech, Amazon devices, and more. Think of it more like the Amazon Epic Daily Deals event that took place last year and had some good deals over the course of the month.
Except this time it’s more of a prelude to the November Black Friday seller deals with some advance deals if you’re an Amazon Prime member. Remember you can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime (opens in a new tab) if you haven’t done this before then this will cover you for the period of sale.
Once it’s rolled out, we’ll be keeping a close eye on the Prime Early Access Sale here on TechRadar to make sure you don’t miss any deals before the big Year End Sale is in full swing. You can follow our Amazon sales live blog for regular updates.
